Becoming a member
Membership Options
Candidates for Membership must be proposed and seconded by two Ordinary Members of the Club who have been Members for at least two years and are normally resident in the Channel Islands. The applicant(s) must be personally known to the Proposer and Seconder.
Completed forms of application should be forwarded to the Honorary Secretary together with a letter of recommendation from the Proposer. Club Rules require the documentation to be posted on the Club Notice Board for at least 14 days, and candidates (except those oversees), shall be invited to meet members of the General Committee prior to the application being considered by the Committee at it’s monthly meeting.
Relevant joining fees and annual subscriptions will be due to be paid within one month of any successful application. Notice will be advised in writing shortly after the relevant General Committee meeting.
The following classes of Membership are available:
Ordinary Member
Joint or single Members over 18 years of age who wish to have full privileges of the Club
Overseas Member
Joint or single Members who are ordinarily resident outside of the Channel Islands
Associate Member
Students in full time education, under the age of 25 years
Limited Offer of 50 Life Memberships
The limited number of 50 memberships can be secured on a first-come-first-served basis by emailing officer@rciyc.je
Temporary Member
Persons ordinarily resident outside of the Channel Islands for a period not exceeding 3 months
Honorary Life Membership and Honorary Memberships
These may be granted at the invitation of the General Committee.

Please note, there will be an additional administration fee for non direct debit (excluding Cadet or Temporary) of £10.00 for Single and £15.00 for joint

Cadet Membership
Boys and girls are eligible for election as Cadet Members between the ages of seven and eighteen. Proposal forms should normally be signed by a parent or guardian and delivered to the Club for the attention of the Honorary Secretary with the appropriate parental consent form and Cadet Membership fee (currently £28 per annum).
